    I. Principle of the Scanning Area

    A laser scanner operates based on the time-of-flight measurement principle. It emits short pulses and simultaneously starts an “electronic stopwatch.” When light strikes an object, it reflects back and is detected by the laser scanner. By measuring the time difference between the emission and reception of the light pulses, the laser scanner can calculate the distance to the object.

         

    II. Protection and Warning Area Setup

    The safety laser scanner can easily set up protection zones or alert zones, making it suitable for installation in any location. Although the JP-S02 series is compact in size, it boasts a maximum protection zone of 3 meters and a maximum alert zone of 8 meters.

         

    3. Rapid and convenient regional adjustments

    The protection and alarm zones can be flexibly adapted to the on-site environmental conditions around the machine. When environmental conditions change, the scanner can be quickly adjusted by reconfiguration.

     

    IV. Non-Contact Protective Function

    Alternative to safety mats—The functional principle of laser scanners does not rely on physical force to detect objects. Falling objects (such as tools or workpieces) will not damage the protective device, thereby reducing downtime and equipment maintenance time.
